Dr. Makal Gar serves as the University Principal of Nile Valley University, providing overall strategic leadership and spiritual oversight to the institution. With over twenty years of experience in theological education and church leadership, he has guided the university through seasons of growth while maintaining its founding commitment to deeply affordable, deeply rooted theological formation.
Before assuming the role of Principal, Dr. Gar served as a pastor, theological educator, and administrator in various settings across South Sudan and East Africa. His leadership is marked by a deep pastoral heart, a commitment to academic excellence, and an unwavering belief that cost should never be a barrier to answering God's call.
Under his guidance, Nile Valley University has expanded its programs, strengthened its faculty, and deepened its partnerships with churches and ministries across the region. He is known among students and staff as a leader who listens, prays, and leads by example.
