Rev. Peter Yien serves as the Academic Dean of Nile Valley University, overseeing all academic programs, faculty development, curriculum design, and student academic affairs. With over fifteen years of experience in theological education, he brings a deep commitment to rigorous scholarship, faithful teaching, and the holistic formation of students for ministry.
Before joining Nile Valley University, Rev. Yien served as a lecturer in biblical studies and systematic theology at several theological institutions across East Africa. He is also an ordained minister with extensive pastoral experience, having served congregations in both urban and rural settings. This combination of academic expertise and pastoral wisdom shapes his approach to theological education.
As Academic Dean, he has led the revision and strengthening of the university's curriculum across all four program levels, ensuring that every course contributes to the formation of servant-leaders who are biblically grounded, theologically reflective, and practically equipped for ministry. He is known by students as a teacher who brings Scripture to life and by colleagues as a leader of vision and integrity.
